AWANA: 3 Years Old - 8th Grade
AWANA is an international children’s ministry that teaches children that God is real, He loves them, and He has expressed that love through His Son, Jesus Christ. The goal of AWANA is to give boys and girls the chance to know, love and serve God.
Our AWANA program here at First Baptist in Colville currently offers 4 of AWANA’s different programs for different age groups. All groups enjoy Bible lessons, verse memory, songs, games, and, of course, snack time. More detailed information about each program is listed below.

Cubbies:
For preschool children 3 to 5 years old (or 2 years before Kindergarten)
Cubbies® celebrates the spiritual potential of preschoolers by helping them develop respect for God, His Son and His Word.
Preschoolers love Cubbies! Whether it’s the fun puppets, the exciting games or all their friends, they simply can hardly wait for their next Cubbies meeting. At Story Time each week, preschoolers learn so much about God! Lessons focus on the greatness of God's love, His Word, and His Son, Jesus Christ, the promised Savior. Non-competitive games build excitement and reinforce Story Time lesson themes.
Sparks:
For Kindergarten through 2nd Grade
Sparks® ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ.
To many children in kindergarten to second grade, Sparks is the highlight of the week! They love their red vests, the exciting games and spending time with leaders and friends.
Sparks is divided into three years, each with a unique rank: HangGlider®, WingRunner® and SkyStormer™.
Each year, kids in Sparks:
• Explore the biographies of people of the Bible from a new portion of Scripture
• Memorize Bible verses
• Complete handbook activities
Truth & Training (T&T):
For 3rd through 5th Grade
The T&T (Truth & Training) curriculum teaches kids the truth of God's Word, trains them to follow Him and practice His grace.
In this 3 year curriculum series, kids will explore the fundamental doctrines of Christianity including:
• The character and nature of God
• The structure and sequence of the Bible
• The redemption narrative
• Key practices for followers of Jesus
By encouraging kids to engage in highly biblical and highly relational discipleship, T&T helps students to grow and develop as lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.
Trek:
For 6th through 8th Grade
Trek is a 3-year program for Middle School students. This new program challenges students to wrestle with the three most important questions they’re asking in middle school. By allowing students to dive deep into the Scriptures and answer these questions for themselves, we allow them to own their faith and discover what they believe.

- His Story: This study helps middle school students understand God's story and answers the question, "Who am I?"
- His Love: This study focuses on Jesus and His ministry, as told through the Gospel of Luke and answers the question, "Why am I here?"
- His People: This study focuses on biblical community as told through the book of Acts and answers the question, "Who's with me?"
